The women have been on course for just over an hour now at this rain soaked US Open in Colorado Springs, where it has been hot and thundery all week.
When play was called for the day last night only 19 of the 72 players who made the cut had started round 3, so there likely will be a Monday finish if the weather forecast of rain and thunderstorms for this afternoon are accurate, and they have been so far.
Patience is a virtue, and the winner here will be very virtuous ! Many of the field were up at 4.30am for a 7.30am start on Friday to finish up a couple of holes of round 1, then waited all day to get in a few holes of round 2, before repeating that process yesterday, and now they are doing it with round 3..
Sue Kim is the only Canadian to make the cut and she is currently T39 +10
However we have Miyazato leading and Miyazato 2nd and how often can I say that...
Ai has overtaken Mika as they play today. Both girls are from the same part of Japan but are not related, Ai is the more successful, a former #1 with 22 wins, Mika has won just once on the Japan Tour.
