I love watching the old footage on the Open Championship website of past tourney's at Royal St Georges, like 1949 when Harry Bradshaw of Ireland found his drive on the 5th in a broken beer bottle. With no officials in site, (no instant communication then) he took his wedge and played the ball out of the bottle, ending up with a bogey 6. He and the great South African Bobby Locke tied that year and Locke won it in a 36 hole playoff !!
