Leaderboards, stories, and the weekend preview..

EUROPEAN TOUR
James Morrison of England leads the Alstom Open de France after carding a wonderful five under par 66, -11 as they go into the weekend, however it's amazing he is actually playing when he nearly pulled out of the tournament after he was hospitalised on Tuesday night when his Crohn’s disease flared up.

"I had a flare‑up start of the week and I wasn't going to play up to Wednesday morning, and put on some steroids for the week and I feel it's really calming it down now. So I'm still here," said Morrison.

All pars on his front 9 but 5 birdies coming in was the story of his round.

Joint leader, Aussie lefty Richard Green (68) was also on -11 but a double bogey on his second to last hole has him a -9

This Le Golf National is where they will play the 2018 Ryder Cup. Martin Kaymer 71,69 -2 140 is 8 shots behind. He has a home in Scottsdale and talked Bubba Watson who is his neighbour to come over and try this course that Kaymer says is one of the best. Well the Bubba in a beret thing didn't work out, 74,74 +6 au revoir..

PGA TOUR
They are getting the same brilliant weather in Philly as we are and the scoring conditions were ideal. KJ Choi was as hot as the weather with five birdies over his last six holes he shot -6 64 to match the lowest score since this AT&T has been played at Aronimink.

He has a two-shot lead over Chris Riley, Charlie Wi, Justin Leonard and Bo Van Pelt who are all at -5, 135.

KJ has already won THE PLAYERS Championship this year and is at -7,133 going into the weekend. He also won the first AT&T National in 2007 when it was played at Congressional.
The field is tightly bunched, the top 10 are only separated by 3 shots..

3 Canucks made the cut, here are their scores, Graham DeLaet had to WD..

CHAMPIONS Tour
I wish I could tell you we had 4 Canadians at the top of the leaderboard at this Montreal Championship after a glorious Canada Day but the story is John Cook and John Huston who shot -9 63s on Friday to tie the course record and share the first-round lead. Remember  I mentioned yesterday that is Fontainebleau Golf Club is the 2nd easiest on tour, plus scoring conditions were perfect.

Cook, a two-time winner this year, and Huston who won last week matched the course mark set last year by D.A. Weibring.

Defending champion Larry Mize was two strokes back along with Joey Sindelar, Tommy Armour III, Jeff Sluman, Jay Haas, Dan Forsman and Lu Chien-soon.

Here are the scores for our Canadians
