Lorie Kane struggling at Womens British Open

Round 3 is well underway at Carnoustie in Scotland, just up the road or rail or river Tay from my home town of Perth and I hate to say but after a sparkling opening round of -3 69, Lorie Kane shot +4 76 yesterday and is 2 over after 3 holes this morning T62 at +3.

It is cool today 17*c but calm with rain in the forecast for the weekend and beyond.

The leader is a German girl, Caroline Masson at -11 68,65 and she is being chased by 4 South Koreans including Inbee Park and Meena Lee at -10. There are 6 South Koreans within 6 shots of the lead.

Both Stephanie Sherlock and Alena Sharp missed the cut

Catriona Matthew gave the Scots something to cheer about with a -3 69 she is currently T12 at -5, 6 shots off the pace and the only American in the top 10 is Brittany Lincicome T8 at -6.
