Second round of US Senior Open to resume at 7.15 this morning

Down in Toledo at the US Senior Open on the Inverness GC, second round was delayed by two hours and 45 minutes by rain, then was suspended because of darkness at 8:56 p.m. It will resume at 7:15 a.m this morning Seven groups (21 players) did not finish second round play.

When they do resume they will be chasing Olin Browne who followed a record-tying 64 with a -2 69, to take a one-shot lead. He birdied the last 2 holes to stand at -9 133, matching the all time low for 36 holes.

Mark O'Meara (68) was one shot back, with Mark Calcavecchia (67), Joey Sindelar (66) and Michael Allen (69) at 135. Peter Senior (67) was three back, with Corey Pavin (69), Trevor Dodds (69) and Kiyoshi Murota (69) at 137

Jim Rutledge is T54 at +2 73,71 and has made the cut, while Rod Spittle is T62 at +3 74,71 and is in danger of missing the cut which is the top 60 and players within 10 shots of the lead. He will have to wait and see what happens this morning.
