Spittle still in contention despite slipping to 75

Rod Spittle has just finished round 3 at the Senior Open Championship a Walton Heath. His +3 75 has him T9 at -4.

Yesterday he made 7 birdies, today only 1 with 4 bogey's. Still he will start Sunday just 3 shots off the lead. He hit 12/15 fairways and had 14 GIR but 34 putts as opposed to 24 yesterday was the killer..

David Frost has charged from the pack with a brilliant -6 66 to tie for the lead at -7 along with Russ Cochrane (65) and Mark Calcavecchia who has just birdied the 18th to shoot E 72 -7 despite a triple bogey 7 on the 13th.
