Stephen Ames continued his fine play as he led or was tied for the lead for most of Sunday's crowded leaderboard at the Chubb Classic.
However after going bogey free for 46 holes he drove out of bounds at the 11th leading to a double bogey, dropping him 2 shots behind Olin Browne.
Ames playing in the final pairing birdied the 13th to pull within one and watched as Browne doubled his final hole leaving Ames, Browne, Austin, Langer and Jimenez all tied for the lead at -13.
A bogey at 15 and another at 18 sealed his fate while Miguel Jimenez went on to beat Bernhard Langer and Browne with a 5 foot par putt on the first hole of the playoff. He shot a -5 66 -13, 200. It is the Spaniard's 7th PGA Tour Champions title.

Ames shot 71 to end up T6 -11 with Tom Lehman, Sandy Lyle, Colin Montgomerie and Retief Goosen
