Nelly Korda leads this Women's Australian Open by 3 shots 71 66 67 -12 as she tries to join the family love affair with Australia, her dad a national tennis champion, her younger brother a national junior tennis champion, and her sister Jessica a past champion at this event.

Alena Sharp continues her fine play T9, 69 71 70 -6.  Jaclyn Lee has had a very impressive first LPGA event, 72 71 71 -2 T30.

Scotland's Sandy Lyle and Stephen Ames went out together and tied the course record at -8 63 and they begin play today with a share the first-round lead in the Champions Tour, Chubb Classic.

Stephen had a hole-in-one on the par 3,140 yard 12th hole. He finished strongly in last year's Charles Schwab playoffs, wintered in the Turks and Cacois islands, then spent a month in Hawaii where he got his only senior title, the 2017 Mitsubishi Electric Classic.

Bernhard Langer, the Oasis Championship winner last week had a 68, and he's won here 3 times, 2011, 2013 and 2016.
