PGA Tour Genesis Open leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2019/genesis-open/leaderboard.html
breaking news : "The PGA Tour has decided to re-set the scores of the 10 groups who made it onto the course before play was suspended when play resumes. Their next weather update will be 1pm PST (4pm EST)"
Phil Mickelson can even make a story out of a weather delay.. Good morning and Happy Valentines Day to all the gals today, and a gentle reminder to you guys who may have let it slip your mind !
It's a soaking wet rainy Thursday morning at Riviera in L.A. Phil who won here in 2008 and 2009 is playing the back nine first, clad head to foot in black as usual. The par 4 10th is driveable. He hit his into the greenside bunker and was a about to play when the horn sounded. Allowed to continue the hole under current suspension rules, he blasted out over the green, plugged into another, blasted out again into a third, blasted out again into the hole.. routine par 4, giving the few who are watching something to cheer about before they head to the beer tent..
This field is headlined by Tiger of course, and has 3 Canadians. Adam Hadwin, Nick Taylor and Mac Hughes.
The stars are all here, Bubba Watson defends, Rory, Justin Thomas, DJ, Jon Rahm, Paul Casey, Bryson DeChambeau, Jordan Spieth etal join Tige and Phil.
Weather: there is rain in the forecast for much of Thursday and Friday and some of Sunday. Organizers have reduced the field to just those who have qualified to try and get play in round 2 completed come dinner time on Friday. Remember last week at Pebble Beach, the sun sets on the west coast at 5.45pm, and traditionally they never get 2 rounds in on time at Riviera. With this weather forecast expect the same.
