Showing no signs of rust after two weeks in sick bay, Brooke Henderson opened her account at the Honda LPGA Thailand with a bogey free -6 66 T5 in a group just 3 shots off the lead held by Eun Hee Ji -9 63.

Brooke had 3 birdie nines of 33 for her 66. 13/14 fairways, 15/18 greens in regulation, and 27 putts sum up her scorecard.

Two shots back are Minjee Lee of Australia, Danielle Kang of the United States, and Jenny Shin of South Korea, each with a 65 -7. In the group at -6 with Brooke are Americans Jennifer Song and Lizette Salas, and Australian Katherine Kirk.

Ji won her fifth U.S. LPGA Tour title in her previous event last month, the season-opening Tournament of Champions in Florida.

Henderson is the only Canadian in the field and she and her sister Brittany will continue on to play in Singapore next week.
