It took 14 years, Scott Jamieson wins Nexo Championship at home in Scotland.. Final Results

DP World Tour : Nexo Championship  Leaderboard

Scott Jamieson earned his second DP World Tour win almost 14 years after his first with a two-shot victory at the 2026 Nexo Championship.

Scott Jamieson ends 14-year wait for DP World Tour title

The Scot made it back-to-back home winners at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, following Grant Forrest's success last year, as a final round of 67 saw him to -11 and ensured he held off England's Matthew Jordan.

An emotional Jamieson said: "Fourteen years, that's wild. It's just so tough, so hard to win.

"I was so patient all day... just can't believe I've won."

Jordan's compatriot Andy Sullivan was third outright after overnight leader Shaun Norris' challenge faded following a two-stroke penalty on the front nine.

Jamieson rolled in a solid birdie putt at the seventh and a longer one at the eighth, and he went desperately close to a third in succession while Jordan made an unfortunate double bogey at the ninth after failing to execute a tricky escape from rough on the side of a dune.

Norris suffered a two-shot penalty after he was adjudged to have broken Rule 8.1 - Players Actions That Improve Conditions Affecting the Stroke - in moving a divot from under his feet in the fifth fairway.

That dropped him out of the lead as he turned for home and left Jamieson as the outright leader. The Scot began his back nine with two more birdies, extending his run to four in five holes.

He dropped a shot at the 13th and with Jordan having birdied the 12th, the lead was back down to one shot - until Jamieson pulled two clear again with a birdie at the spectacular 14th hole.

Jamieson struck a decisive blow at the 17th when he got up and down from a bunker in front of the green to save par and then watched Jordan's own par putt stay up on the left edge of the hole.

That gave Jamieson a three-shot lead to take down the last and he made a safe par, with Jordan's up-and-down for a birdie making certain of second place on his own.

SUMMARY

Sullivan holed a long birdie putt from well off the back of the 11th green for a second straight birdie, and fourth in six holes, then mixed two birdies and two bogeys in the closing holes for a 68 to finish 3rd -7

Quim Vidal, Marcus Kinhult and Keita Nakajima shared 4th at -6, with Norris' 76 leaving him -5 alongside Fabio Zanotti and Richard Mansell - who in contrast shot 65 to claim the Course Record and a $10,000 bonus

Jamieson also finished as the winner of the Closing Swing, adding a $200,000 bonus to take his week's earnings beyond the $700,000 mark, and climbed from 135th to 42nd on the Race to Dubai Rankings.

Little Miyu Yamashita, Japan's runaway leader, Deng shoots 63... CPKC Women's Open.. Sunday leaderboard

      LPGA : CPKC Women's Open

Leaderboard

There is a lot of smoke and rain in the Edmonton forecast this afternoon. That may be the only thing that stop's Japan's diminutive 4'11" Miyu Yamashita from winning this year's CPKC Women's Open at the Royal Mayfair Club.

**Miyu Yamashita increased her already healthy lead and Canadian teenager Aphrodite Deng vaulted up the leaderboard Saturday at the CPKC Women’s Open.

Miyu Yamashita

Japan’s Yamashita turned in a 5-under-par 65 in the third round to get to -19 for the tournament at Edmonton’s Royal Mayfair Golf Club.

Her 14-under 126 in her first 36 holes was a tournament record. The 25-year-old gave nothing back Saturday.

Yamashita took a 6 stroke lead into Sunday at the US$2.75-million event seeking the 4th LPGA win of her career and her second this season. However she has won 13 times on the JLPGA Tour before coming to America. She also won Player of the Year in 2022, 2023.

Her Japanese colleague, Yuri Yoshida carded a 66 and Gina Kim of the U.S. posted a 6-under 64 on Saturday to trail Yamashita at -13 under.

CANADIANS

On the bright side 6 Canadians made the cut and 4 are teenagers, which apparently is a record.

Aphrodite Deng

Aphrodite Deng (a) (Bernard Brault, Golf Canada)

16-year-old Aphrodite Deng from Calgary, who was the tournament’s low amateur last year in Mississauga, Ont., shot the day’s lowest round of 63 to get to -10 under T6.

“It felt really great, but I wasn’t really counting how low I was shooting,” Deng said. “I was just trying to learn from my first two days and make the least mistakes as possible.”

‘Deng was born in Calgary and was four years old when her family moved to the United States.  The teen, who is on Canada’s NextGen team, appreciated the cheers that increased in frequency and volume Saturday as she rattled off a bogey-free round.

“I’m so grateful for all the support,” she said. “Every time I play this event, there’s so many people out here supporting me.”

Vancouver’s 17 year old Anna Huang 70 -7, and Deng’s fellow-amateurs Michelle Xing 71 -1 of Richmond Hill, Ont., and Clairey Lin of Langley, B.C 72 +2., continued playing into the weekend.

Defending champion Brooke Henderson recovered from three-putting the ninth to be +1 at the turn with three straight birdies on her back nine. She shot a second straight 68 to be -7 .

“I feel like I didn’t get out of my round what I really should have,” said Henderson, who hit 16 greens in regulation. “It just came down to a few putts I missed. I missed quite a few inside six feet today actually, which I haven’t been doing, so it was a little bit unusual.

“I might hit a few putts here after the round just to get a feel for it again. I feel like I gave myself a lot of good looks. That’s all you can ask for. Hopefully I’ll do the same tomorrow, but make the putts.”

Maude-Aimee Leblanc of Sherbrooke, Que., shot 72 to sit +1.  Savannah Grewal of Mississauga was +3 over after a 74.

WEATHER

The forecast for Sunday’s final round is 26 C with some forest fire smoke before giving way to thunderstorms in the late afternoon.

Rory roars back, Clark still the man at Buick Championship.....Sunday leaderboard

PGA Tour : Buick Championship FedExCup  Leaderboard Tee Times

Here's Rory's story thus far in the FedEx Cup playoffs.

After 4 weeks off after the Open Championship, he came to play in Memphis at St Jude Championship, with no feel for his swing, played poorly, did not break par. Flew back to Florida, met with coach Mitch Bannon, sorted out the swing.

Rory McIlroy-2286420583

Arrived at Bellerive GC in St Louis, shot 64 but said he still had a long way to go to trust his swing, shot 69 on Friday. On Saturday he did not hit a fairway until the 10th, but still short gamed it to -1 before finding his groove, shot a brilliant Rory like -4 on the back nine for -5 65 T2 -12.

However, Wyndham Clark who is head a shoulders better this week than the field, also shot 65, to  go with 64 64 and leads with -17. He has put on a clinic with his putter..

As Rory said after all his explanations, "" It's going to take something heroic for anyone to catch Wyndham this week"..

SUMMARY

This is Clark's to win, he has been a good front runner, but unless he shoots 70 nobody is catching him.

Many of the top 30 are already set, the bigger story today is those around the bubble at 30.

Scott Scheffler will receive a cheque for $23,000,000 on Monday morning, his share of the $100,000,000 FedEx Cup #1 standing, before the Tour Championship when all 30 players start at Even.

Still has "Hissy Fits.."

2168110874

He shot 72 on Thursday, apparently feeling poorly, after 4 bogey's on his front 9, on 10th he pulled his drive into the rough right, mishit his approach into the water short right, his approach from the drop zone ran over the green, double bogey !!

"What the f__k !! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE while he was doing everything he could to break his wedge. He will need to explain himself at his next Church meeting back in Texas....

(Everything except what we hackers do for our final mea culpa...., snapping it over our knee !!)

Shaun Norris "albatros" leads Nexo Championship into Sunday...Live SCOREBOARD

DP World Tour : Nexo Championship Tee Times Leaderboard

Shaun Norris surged to the top of the leaderboard after his marvellous albatross helped him match the course record during the third round of the 2026 Nexo Championship.

Norris-2291555118

The South African carded the lowest round of the week at the testing Trump International Golf Links on Saturday, signing for a bogey and four birdies alongside his remarkable achievement at the par-five fourth in his 6 66.

He had 267 yards left as he approached his second shot at the fourth with a 3-wood and urged his ball to "go" as it found the green and rolled into the cup.

Norris seemed in disbelief as Matthew Southgate came over to congratulate his playing partner and the 44-year-old did not look back from there.

At -9 Norris is two clear of Matthew Jordan, who overcame a slow start to card five birdies in his -5 67 for 2nd place.

"I'm very pleased with the way I played, I hit the ball nicely today and gave myself good chances," Norris said. "A bit of fortune with an albatross on four, so pretty pleased with it.

"He's (Kyle Norris, caddie) not been important just over the last couple of days, but over the last 10-12 years. We have a good bond.

"He knows my game better than anybody else. I think we are in a good position, go out there tomorrow, have some fun and try give myself some chances of birdies and see what happens."

Norris revealed it was his fifth albatross of his career, adding: "It's just one of those holes, you've got to place yourself in the fairway and give yourself a chance of going for the green.

"I was sort of borderline with a 3-wood there and my brother just gave me a number and he said 'trust it and go for it', and I couldn't have hit it any better.

"And once it pitched on the green, he's like 'go in' and I'm like 'nah, whatever' and the next minute it goes in, so I'm happy."

Southgate held the halfway lead at four under and he and Norris, one shot behind, opened up with a birdie.

Scott Jamieson and Martin Couvra both birdied the first and fourth, with the latter also adding gains at the seventh and eighth, to join Southgate for a tie for the lead at -5

Jordan, who had bogeyed the opening hole before battling back with birdies at the fourth, ninth and 11th, closed with his fifth gain of the day to set the clubhouse target of -7

Englishman Jordan sat one clear of Jamieson, who mixed four birdies and a dropped shot to sit at -6

Southgate remained in contention following his level-par 70 as he sat alongside Japan's Keita Nakajima at -4, while Australian Connor McKinney, England's Andy Sullivan and Zimbabwean Benjamin Follett-Smith are one shot further back at -3.

Trump International and Scottish weather set a stern test at the Nexo Championship

DP World Tour : Nexo Championship Tee Times Leaderboard

The Nexo Championship is again proving a battle of survival at Trump International Golf Links.

Trump International Golf Links provides punishing examination again at Nexo Championship

A year on from its DP World Tour debut as the host venue, the Old Course layout on the Balmedie links in Aberdeenshire is again causing havoc as the winds blow along the North Sea coastline.

At the end of the second round, only 17 players are under par ahead of the final 36 holes. The cut of +5 is the highest this season.

It was tough 12 months ago, with just nine players finishing under par. But a change in wind direction from then and across the practice days this year has caused torment for many in the field.

"It's just a tough course," said defending champion Grant Forrest in a mid-round interview with the World Feed on Friday.

"There's no let up, no forgiveness really. You've just got to be on it or you get punished."

Forrest is among the players to have drawn the harder side of the draw, having started in the wind and rain on Thursday and played in the afternoon wave on Friday as temperatures barely lifted.

He carded a course record -6 66 on his way to victory last year but appears unlikely to join Major champion Paul Lawrie as the third Scot to win three times on the DP World Tour in their homeland after rounds of 72 and 76 to sit +4 at halfway - eight shots adrift of solo leader Matthew Southgate.

Forrest's playing partner Patrick Reed, the Race to Dubai Rankings leader, was among those taken aback by the sudden shift in challenge from the practice days.

“The golf course played completely different from Monday through Wednesday,” he explained after his first round of 72, which he followed with a 73.

“When I played the back nine during the practice round, I was debating whether to hit three wood or even two iron off of ten. But into the wind today [on Thursday] it was driver, three wood and pitching wedge.”

Scott Jamieson is faring better in the cold and blustery conditions, carding rounds of 70 and 71 to sit at -3 as the 42-year-old targets a big result that could change the course of his season.

Jamieson-2291389300

"It’s been a while since I was in this position at halfway," said the Florida-based Scot, who sits 135th spot on the Race to Dubai Rankings, and is battling to keep his card on golf's global Tour.

"There is still a lot of golf to be played but I’m really happy to be in a good spot going into the weekend.

"I enjoy playing golf and level par is a good score round here. So I wouldn’t mind these conditions for the next two days."

WEATHER

The forecast for the weekend is that the north-westerly wind will drop, having blown between 15-20mph across Thursday and Friday.

MORE OPINION

Connor Syme, another of the 15 Scots in the field sits just outside the T10 -1. “That was great. Very solid. I didn’t put myself in too much trouble on a very tricky golf course. So very happy with that. It’s definitely one of the rounds of the season for sure. It’s been a while since I have been up at the top of a board."

Eliot Baker, the lone amateur in the field "That definitely wasn't easy out there today," he said.

"That wind got blowing, the rain kept coming through but to be up there on the leaderboard going into the weekend on my debut, I couldn't be happier."

SUMMARY

Through the opening two days, 12 of the holes are playing over par. The 500-yard par four eighth is proving the hardest hole, with as many as 42 double bogeys or worse.

Scores have ranged from the low of 67, registered by first-round leader Marcus Kinhult, to a high of 86 by Ryan Van Velzen.

On Friday, India's Shubhankar Sharma enjoyed a hole-in-one at the 178-yard sixth, while England's Haydn McCullen made a quintuple bogey ten at the tenth. Both will be back for more after making the cut.

It all sets us up for an enthralling weekend.

DP World Tour : Windy Nexo Championship : 36 hole results

DP World Tour : Nexo Championship Tee Times Leaderboard

Matthew Southgate underlined his reputation as a links specialist to withstand sustained winds at Trump International Golf Links and claim a one-shot halfway lead at the Nexo Championship.

Southgate-2291428454

On another day of testing conditions, scoring proved tough over the Martin Hawtree-designed Old Course in Aberdeenshire with Scottish duo Connor Syme and Martin Laird the only players to be bogey free on Friday.

Southgate carded a second consecutive 70, featuring a chip-in eagle late in his second round, to claim the solo lead at -4

England's Matthew Jordan, runner-up last week in Denmark, home hope Scott Jamieson, Sweden's first-round leader Marcus Kinhult and South Africa's Shaun Norris are a shot further back at -3

Nine shots separate the leader and those who made the cut at +5 the highest mark so far this season on the DP World Tour.

SOUTHGATE STORY

Southgate, who is playing without full playing privileges on the DP World Tour this season, claimed his first title on the HotelPlanner Tour at the Swiss Challenge in June.

Later that month, he earned a spot at The Open via Final Qualifying for a remarkable 6th time in his career.

The 37-year-old is making just his fifth DP World Tour start this season but he is in the mix to become the 14th first-time winner on the 2026 Race to Dubai campaign.

Fellow Englishman Jordan is another targeting his breakthrough DP World Tour win, and he has carried over momentum from his near miss at the Danish Golf Championship.

A remarkable start to his round, which saw him birdie his opening three holes and then eagle the par five fourth, lifted the 30-year-old to -5 and into a two-shot advantage of the early clubhouse lead.

A missed par putt from inside of five feet at the 14th saw him once again drop back to -2 but he ended his day on a high with a birdie at the par five last for -3

"Going out, you know with two par fives kind of downwind, and the way the wind is and the course is playing, that you do obviously want to get off to a good start," he said.

"You are going to hit bad shots, and you are going make mistakes. I mean, it was difficult in terms of mentally too, there was a couple of times with some of the short putts that I missed, that I might have got influenced slightly when I was over it and stuff like that. It’s not just the drives, it's not just some of the iron plays, it’s all round, really."

Florida-based Jamieson, among the morning starters, is 135th in the Race to Dubai Rankings and in need of a big performance to help his cause to retain his playing rights for next season.

The 42-year-old burst out of the blocks with three birdies in his opening four holes as he took advantage of a stretch of the course that played downwind. He then bogeyed four of his next 11 holes, but he enjoyed a strong finish with gains at the 16th and 18th for a 71.

Kinhult conceded to not having his best golf on Thursday despite an opening 67, and he bookended his second round with birdies to card a 74.

There was then a six strong group of players at -2,  that featured English amateur Eliot Baker, Japan's Keita Nakajima, Denmark's Jacob Skov Olesen, Italy's Matteo Manassero, Spain's Quim Vidal and Zimbabwe's Benjamin Folllett-Smith.

Syme carded a 68 for the best round of the day to get to -1.

Rory bounces back into T1 at Buick Championship...Live leaderboard, FedEx standings...

PGA Tour : Buick Championship FedExCup  Leaderboard Tee Times

The top 50 have made their way to the revamped parkland course, Bellerive CC in St Louis where so far it's a mainly sunny 82*f slight wind 8mph NW, much more comfortable than the oppressive 100+* in Memphis last week.

Birkdale-2286007378

After failing to break par in 4 rounds last week at St Jude Championship in Memphis, Rory McIlroy who had lost a feel for his swing after a 4 week break, flew home to Florida for 2 days of work with coach Mitch Bannon, then bounced back to T1 for the lead -6 64 with Gary Woodland, Wyndham Clark, Chris Gotterup and JJ Spaun.

"At least Mitch got me back to where I felt like I knew what I was doing, days like this are encouraging, but I have still got a long ways to go" said the world #2.

There are no Canadians in the field to report on.

The Fitzpatrick's continue their dream season, Matt T6 -5 65 a Player of the Year candidate, his younger brother Alex, making more money than in his entire career, T8 -4 66.

After his unchallenged 8 shot win last week, Scott Scheffler struggled, making 5 bogey's T44 +2 72, citing a flu bug had made him sick before heading home for some more medication.
