Sunday shootout in store at tough Torrey Pines

PGA Tour Farmers Insurance Open scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=pga

Many of golf's big names have gone home for the weekend, but there is still an exciting Sunday ahead on the very long and difficult south course at Torrey Pines with 16 players within 3 shots of the lead.

The course is playing so hard, long, hard greens, thick rough and bunkers everywhere, that JB Holmes shot -4 68 to match the low score of the round to join Harris English who fought hard for his +1 73, on top of this crowded leaderboard at -9 207. Today may well be about who makes the least mistakes. "This is a U.S. Open golf course," English said. "And you've got to treat it like that" Only 6 players broke 70.

Lucas Glover with out the beard, holed a bunker shot for eagle on the last hole for 70 and will be in the final group with Holmes and English today

Canadians Adam Hadwin T21 -4, Roger Sloan T62 +1

Note ..Hunter Mahan's wife gave birth to their second child, a boy they named Miller Myles Mahan. He was born Friday with no complications.
