Rising Indian star wins in Malaysia, Richard T Lee T5..

European Tour Maybank Malaysian Open final scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=euro

Going into today's play Bernd Wiesberger held a two-shot lead over Spain's Alejandro Canizares, both had been playing superbly all week, but it takes 4 good rounds to win on pro tours, and they both stumbled, carding two-over 74's, Weisberger finished second on -15, while Canizares finished T3 with Paul Waring(73).

All this opened the door for rising Indian star Anirban Lahiri, who shot a superb -10 62 on Saturday to move into contention. He has won his first European Tour event by firing a -4 68,-16 272, finishing a stroke ahead of the big Austrian

He was 5 shots behind at the start of his round today but finally caught up when he rolled in a 40-foot birdie putt from off the green on the 17th hole.

With the world's top 50 automatically qualifying for the Masters he now should be at Augusta, as he will move into the top 40.

Meanwhile defending champion Lee Westwood, who was in such command after 36 holes seemed to lose his game over the weekend and he also stumbled to a 75 to end up T5 at -11.

One guy who didn't falter was Canada's Richard T Lee who had a great week finishing with a -1 71 -11 T5,his best showing of the year by far. After the round he said, "I still have to work on my putting, but I will go up to Thailand full of confidence. It's always windy there so I'll practice my low shots and putting."
