The guy I am watching for at the Allianz Championship down in Boca Raton, which by the way was hammered by a tornado this week, is Bernhard Langer who won here in 2010, and has been in the top 3, three out of the last 6 years. He opened with a -5 67, but isn't the leader, yet..
Despite a closing double bogey, Tom Pernice Jr. who was 2nd here last year, fired a -6 66 to share the lead with Paul Goydos and Bart Bryant.
Joining Langer are Fred Funk and Tom Byrum. Defending champion Michael Allen shot 70.
Canadians Rod Spittle opened with -3 69 while Stephen Ames and Jim Rutledge have work to do opening with +2 74's.
