Furyk leads at Pebble Beach, ...Hearn, DeLaet continue fine play

PGA Tour AT&T Pebble Beach National scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=pga

Veteran Jim Furyk hasn't played competitive golf in seven months but on Saturday he went out and made seven birdies over his last 10 holes at Pebble Beach for his best round in 20 years at the AT&T. His -9 63 -18 gives him a one-shot lead over Matt Jones (67) and Brandt Snedeker (67)

Furyk hasn't won in 4 years and has had at least a share of the lead after 54 holes without converting 8 times in that period, so has been playing some great golf.

The best weather in memory on the Monterey Peninsula, has the beach full of swimmers, and the scores low on the 3 courses with the cut falling at -7 which was to low for John Daly whose 73 at Spyglass means he missed the cut along with Mike Weir, Nick Taylor and Roger Sloan..

However David Hearn is T17 67 66 71 -11 is 7 shots back and Graham DeLaet T24 who opened with 76, has bounced back with superb 65 64 to get to -10.
