europeantour.com  Wallie Coetzee playing on the west course with no cameras on him, quietly went out on what he describes as an easy day, and shot 65 to get to -12 and a one shot lead at the Joburg Open going into the weekend.

Earlier in the day, Simon Dyson had put himself in contention for a first European Tour title in four years as he grabbed a share of the clubhouse lead midway through the second round. The six-time European Tour winner, added a -5 67 on the East Course to his opening 65 on the West Course to post an -11 halfway total.

He was joined by South Africans Garth Mulroy 68 and Tjaart van der Walt 69 also on the East course, with the latter having led for most of the morning until he failed to get up-and-down from greenside bunkers at the 17th and 18th for a bogey-par finish.

The cut fell at -4 and now the field all move to the tougher east course for the weekend..
