Round 2 is in the books, on another warm humid day on this Black Mountain GC and the ageless, but ailing Miguel Angel Jimenez has continued the fine form that saw him win in Hawaii 3 weeks ago as he has posted -6 66 to reach -11 for a one shot lead over Thailand's Kiradech Aphibarnrat -5 67 -10. Jimenez is suffering from what appears to be a heavy cold, but is swinging beautifully, playing his patented draw to perfection.
Canadian Richard T Lee is still playing great golf, he also posted -5 67 this morning and is T3 at -9.
Meanwhile Panuphol Pittayarat has won a house for a hole-in-one. The young Thai player, widely known as Coconut, aced the par 3 14th with a 6 iron from 201 yards and wins a property that's currently being built at the resort near Hua Hin. The 4 story townhouse is worth 12 million Thai Baht, around £250 or $482,000 Canadian.
