Ko tied for lead after 3 rounds at Royal Melbourne

LPGA Tour Women's Australian Open scoreboard http://espn.go.com/golf/leaderboard?tour=lpga

I watched a lot of this Aussie Open overnight, the women all feeling the effects of a blistering hot summer's day in Melbourne, and after all was said and done on this very international leaderboard, Lydia Ko of New Zealand and Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn shot -1 72s to share the lead after the third round.

Ko and Jutanugarn are at -7 212, one better than South Korea's Amy Yang (70.)

Julieta Granada of Paraguay and Australia's Katherine Kirk, also with 70s, are T4 three behind the leaders. Kirk had the Aussie crowd cheering with four consecutive birdies on her back nine.

England's Charley Hull shot 76 and dropped back into a group tied for seventh with American Jessica Korda (75), the 2012 champion at Royal Melbourne.

Only one player broke 70 and that was first-round leader Ilhee Lee with a 69. Canada's Alena Sharp is T36 at +4
