On another sweltering day of gusty winds and slick greens Brooke Henderson managed to avoid any big numbers, shot -1 71 and at +2 has moved up to a T33 following her opening round 75 at this HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore.

It was a battling 71 for Brooke. After 3 birdies in her first 7 holes, she proceeded to card 4 bogey's in her next 7. However  she finished strong with birdies on 17 & 18. Her numbers; 8/14 Fairways in regulation, 27 putts, 11/18 greens in regulation 1/1 sand saves.

She is 9 shots behind the lead held by American Amy Olsen who shot a -3 69 to emerge from the pack at -7, two shots clear heading into the weekend. Five players are tied at -5. Inbee Park (69), Azahrara Munoz (68), Jodi Ewart Shadoff (70), Ariya Jutanugarn (71) and Minjee Lee (71).
