The top-ranked Sung Hyun Park shot her second straight -6 66 yesterday on the Desert Course in ideal conditions at the Founders Cup for a share of the lead with China's Yu Liu (64), at -12, 132. She has six victories in her first three years on the tour including the 2017 U.S. Women’s Open and 2018 Women’s PGA Championship.
Lydia Ko (67) is at -10 under with first-round leader Celine Boutier (70), Amy Yang (66), Mi Jung Hur (66), Angel Yin (67), Nanna Koerstz Madsen (69) and Monday qualifier Cheyenne Knight (68).
Brooke Henderson (68) is in a group with defending champion Inbee Park at -9 and Women’s Australian Open champion Nelly Korda (67), all T11, 3 shots back.
Brooke made just 1 bogey on her first hole (the 10th) with 5 birdies for 35 33 -4 68. She hit 13/14 fairways, 15/18 greens in regulation, 2/2 sand saves and 29 putts.
These Canadians missed the cut: Brittany Marchand (73) T86th E, Anne-Catherine Tanguay (71) and Alena Sharp (72) +2 , Jaclyn Lee (75) +4.
