Bjerregaard becomes a Danish celebrity, beats Tiger at Dell Match Play..live scoring

WGC Dell Technology Match Play scoreboard https://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html

Canadians all remember when Mike Weir beat Tiger at the 2009 President's Cup in Montreal. It was a career highlight which Weirsy will always dine out on.

27 year old Dane Lucas Bjerregaard is well known on the European Tour but was an unknown in America. All that changed on a windy, wet Saturday afternoon in Austin, Texas at the Dell Technology Match Play when he stood toe to toe with Tiger and after sinking an enormous eagle putt across the green to square their match on the 16th he walked away the winner when the legend missed a 5 footer for par on the 18th.

Bjerregaard walked right into this morning's semi final with Matt Kuchar as well as immortality.

Kuchar beat Sergio Garcia 2 up with his usual blend of steady and at times brilliant play while smiling all the way.

In the other semi final undefeated Francesco Molinari will play last year's runner up Kevin Kisner. Molinari hammered Kevin Na 6&5 and he hasn't even had to play the 18th hole yet this week.

The brilliant Italian has now gone 10 straight matches undefeated including the 5 he won leading his Ryder Cup team to their drubbing of the USA in Paris.

Kisner edged Louis Oosthuizen who had led for most of the match, 2&1.

Follow all the live semi finals scoring starting just after 10am EST this morning.
