Rare missed cut for Brooke Henderson, tough day for Canadians at Kia Classic

LPGA Tour Kia Classic leaderboard http://www.lpga.com/tournaments/kia-classic/leaderboard

After opening with a solid 69 on Thursday, Brooke Henderson had a tough Friday at this Kia Classic, with 3 double bogey's on her way to a +5 77 +2 total, and a very rare missed cut. The cut fell at +1. As far as I can remember her last missed cut was at the Australian Open in February 2018.

She wasn't alone. Jaclyn Lee and Brittany Marchand 75 74, and Alena Sharp 75 77 also went home early.

Anne Catherine Tanguay will carry the Canadian flag alone into the weekend, she rebounded from an opening 76 with at 67 and is T46 -1.

Sung Hyun Park shot a -6 66 to take a share of the lead into the weekend. Thidapa Suwannapura also had a 66 to match Park at -10 134 in the in the final event before the major ANA Inspiration next week in Rancho Mirage.

The Thai player also is bogey-free through 36 holes. Inbee Park and first-round leader Chella Choi are a stroke back at -9
