East Lake GC in Atlanta is a demanding par 70 course where any score on or around par is considered a good outing which is part of the reason it has been the home of the Tour Championship for 18 years.
The world's top 30 are led by Tiger and Rickie Fowler heading into today's 2nd round, both shot -5 65's so they will be in the final pairing.
Tiger is still the story whenever he shows up and he closed in style with a long eagle putt on his final hole to the delight of the packed gallery. Remember he also led after the BMW after a first round 62. His recovery has been remarkable.
Still there is a long way to go and lots of big names in contention, Rose and Woodland at -4 66...Rory and Justin Thomas at -3.
