Brooke Henderson has played pretty well at the Evian Championship, the final major of the year on this LPGA Tour. She finished T9 2016, and T25th in 2015. This morning she came home in even par 35, after she stormed out with 4 birdies for 32 and a -4 67 to lead the morning wave. She used 31 putts but hit 17/18 greens in regulation, and 9/13 fairways. She leads the field with a 289 yds average off the tee.
"It’s a beautiful golf course, usually challenging with the weather, but I think it suits my game well, particularly with how I’m striking the ball right now" she said earlier after a week off at home to celebrate her 21st birthday.
Her are some other numbers :
*She has earned more than US$1.2 million earned this season
*Is second on the LPGA Tour money list with seven tournaments left.
*She’s also third on the year on the points list for the CME Group
Alena Sharp is in with +2 73 and Brittany Marchand is approaching the turn at -1.
Spain's Carlota Ciganda is the clubhouse leader at 65 -6.
