Rod Spittle wraps up his career...the stories on Henderson and Hadwin..

I began this weekend saying there were 3 players in particular I'd be keeping an eye on, Brooke Henderson coming off her fabulous CP Women's Open, Adam Hadwin's steady rise through the Fed Ex playoffs and Rod Spittle playing his final event at home in Canada at the Shaw Charity Classic.... Hadwin has one more round to go on this Labour Day holiday Monday.

In his final PGA Tour Champions event before retirement, Rod Spittle T17 after shooting a final round, -1 69 on Sunday at the Shaw Charity Classic in Calgary.

Spittle finished all three rounds at six under (66 69 69 -6). Scott McCarron had a hole in one on the par3 14th on his way to a -7 63 on Sunday to finish at -15, edging Kirk Triplett and Joe Durant to successfully defend his 2017 title.

It’s been a lot of fun,” Spittle said. “I never thought that I could get my golf game back to this level. To come and compete with everybody for the last little while has just been an awful lot of fun.

He fulfilled his dream and played for 13 seasons on the Senior circuit after a stellar amateur career. You'll remember he packed in his job in insurance at 50, sold all his dolls and dishes and took his wife on his quest to play with the world's best over 50 crowd, and he made it.

Well done Rod, and now he can just play for fun. What a partner to have in the local Calcutta.

Tour officials must have been stung by the low scoring at the Cambia Portland Classic, so they decided to hide the pins which led to some unusually high numbers, like the 75 posted by British Women's Open champion Georgia Hall.

"The pin positions were really, really tough. The front nine was unbelievable. I couldn’t even get to hardly any of them. I was just trying to like stay patient and do what I could to kind of stay in it."

The Canadian women were no different. Anne-Catherine Tanguay (73) and Brittany Marchand (77) T16th at -5. Brooke Henderson ran out of gas with a 74 75 weekend T21 -4.

Alex Marina won her first LPGA title closing with a -7 65 on for a four-stroke victory over Georgia Hall. Of note Marina was playing with Stacy Lewis's caddie Travis Wilson on the bag. Wilson won it with Lewis last year! Lewis is off expecting her first child.

PGA Tour Dell Technologies Championship leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html

Adam Hadwin was kind of treading water on Sunday with a -1 70 and is -7 T16th, six shots back going into today's final round of this Dell Technologies Championship.

He is in 46th place in projected FedEx Cup playoff standings, with the top 30 qualifying for the Tour Championship, so as long as he continues his steady play he'll be in the 70 that continue on to the BMW next week.

Meanwhile at the top of the leaderboard a little known Mexican, Abraham Ancer shot -6 65 to take the lead at -13, 200. He was ranked #92 coming into the week.

Ancer has a big time pack right behind him. Tyrrell Hatton managed a 69 despite a lost ball and he joined Bryson DeChambeau (63) at -12. They are among 10 players within four shots of the lead, a group that includes major champions Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth.

Tiger shot 69 T16 -7 and he's paired with Brooks Koepka at 1215 today, right behind Adam Hadwin who plays with CT Pan at 1205.
