Tee Times WM Phoenix Open, Nick Taylor defends his title.

PGA Tour : WM Phoenix Open  Tee Times

First my regards to Tiger Woods as his mother Kultida who was a calming influence in her son's life has passed today at 80.  RIP Kultida...

This week is the Arizona College Beer fest at TPC Scottsdale, known as the WM Phoenix Open a controversial professional booze fueled event like no other weeks, with the stadium packed par3 16th hole takes place before the Super Bowl begins on Sunday in New Orleans.

Nick Taylor

The defending champion in Canada's Nick Taylor who won after a playoff with Charlie Hoffman, both finished on -21. Sam Burns and Scottie Scheffler T3 at -18

In 2023 it was Scottie Scheffler who won at -19 while Taylor was alone in 2nd at -17.

Taylor has already won the Sony Open in Hawaii this year in a playoff.

This year the event is not a signature tournament, but next week the Genesis which has been switched to Torrey Pines south from Riviera in LA due to the devastating forest fires, is.

As a result 7 of the top 10 are not in the field including Rory McIlroy and Xander Scauffele who is injured.

The featured group in the afternoon is Scheffler, Kim , Homa

In the morning it's Matsuyama, Taylor, Spieth.

There are 6 Canadians, Silverman, Conners, Taylor, Hughes, Svensson and Hadwin.
