PGA Tour : Genesis Invitational Results
Followers of the DP World Tour have known about the immense amateur golfing talent that was Ludvig Aberg from Sweden, and he only graduated from PGA Tour University in 2023, winning the RSM Classic shortly after.
Typically Swedish, by nature and stature, tall, athletic with a clean straight forward balanced full swing that results in long straight drives and accurate irons, blessed with a calm demeanor which helps any nerves that affect so many with their putting.
He will be a mainstay of the European Ryder Cup team for decades to come, and on Sunday at Torrey Pines he went out and birdied 4 of his last 6 holes, including an 8 footer at the last and shot 66 -12 to edge a terrific young American Maverick McNealy who shot the round of the week 64 and was waiting in the clubhouse on -11 to see if Ludvig could beat him coming down the 72nd.
Scottie Scheffler and Patrick Rodgers T3 -9
Rory shot a final round 72, well back T17 -3.
The young man won $4,000,000, 700 points and all the other baubles that come with winning a signature event. He is now set for the next 5 years, and can get on with, barring injury, will be a sensational career.
