LPGA : Honda LPGA Thailand Open
The LPGA is now in Thailand for their Asian swing where Patty Tavatanakit is defending her title at this 18th edition of the Honda LPGA Thailand.
Next week is in Singapore HSBC Women's World, then over to China for the Blue Bay LPGA.
Brooke Henderson confesses to love her time in this country at the Old Course Siam Country Club, Chonburi, she is the lone Canadian and is off the 1st tee at 9.33am local.
It is a limited no cut event for 72 players playing for $1.7m. To qualify they must have finished in the top 80 in the 2024 Race to the CME Globe.
Some of these women played last week at the PIF Saudi Ladies International on the Ladies European Tour.
Along those lines last week at Torrey Pines Rory spoke out about "reunification", the new buzz word to describe a future cessation of the split in world golf between PGA/ DP World Tours and LIV saying to those who harbour bad feelings to "get over it, stop looking back, just start looking forward to having all the worlds best under one umbrella"
On Tigers request they also spoke with Donald Trump to use his influence to the Saudi leadership.
Personally I don't miss anyone playing on LIV, and I do agree that without their involvement the PGA Tour $20,000,000 Signature events would never have happened.
Again it matters not to us in the rank and file whether they play for $20m or 20 cents in my opinion.
