LPGA : Honda LPGA Thailand Tee Times
In track and field there is a term "the rabbit", one who starts the race at an incredible pace he can't continue to build a big lead, hoping to hold on until the finish line before the pack can catch him.
This week at this Honda LPGA Thailand the rabbit is Japanese invite called Akie Iwai with a lifetime round 10 birdie no bogey -10 62 to lead the pack by 3 shots.
This ties the Siam CC, Old Course record held by Yuka Saso and American Jessica Korda.
The diminutive 22 year old gained her LPGA status through Q School last year. She only used 26 putts, hit 14/16 fairways and had this to say. " Today my shots and putting were good, I've learned where to miss and not to miss, I'm getting to know the course very well"
Canada's Brooke Henderson is back in a pack of 10 players T23 at -2 70.
