DP World Tour : Commercial Bank Qatar Masters Leaderboard
I mentioned in yesterday's posts Aaron Cockerill made 4 bogey's in 5 holes on his front nine with some errant driving, leading to +2 38 on his way to +1 73 start, well down the field at this version of the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
It seems like he discovered what the problem was and after a 3 putt bogey on the par 3 3rd today, he drove the ball much better playing the front nine in -3 33 with 4 birdies on the same 5 holes he bogeyed yesterday.
He continued his bogey free play on the back nine with another birdie on the 16th. His tee shot on the par 3 17th must have caught a bad lie in the greenside bunker, right below the flag as he took 4 strokes to get down for a late double that took some of the shine off his day.
However he played one of his best rounds of the year so far and moves up 37 spots on the leaderboard at T36 -2 with the cut projected at -1 he will play the weekend with the lead at -10.
