The last time Scott Scheffler won a PGA Tour event was at the start of this season, on the corporate Pro-Am, American Express.
He has been beaten into 2nd place 5 times since however, and has posted top 11 top 10's, but no majors this year, strange stats for the world #1.
After an ordinary opening -2 68, he got off to a great start on Friday with 5 straight birdies, on his way to -9 61 tying the course record on TPC Southwind.
His lead is -11, Sungjae Im T2 66 -8 with Viktor Hovland 64, while Swedish sensation Ludvig Aberg 4th 65 -7
