"It's gonna' be hot and sweaty, Memphis this week, St Louis then Atlanta" Rory McIlroy summed it up best as these 2026 FedEx playoffs got under way on TPC Southwind with the thermometer topping 100*f in the shade, something that never happens at home in Holywood, Northern Ireland.
Rory did himself no favours with a bogey, bogey, double finish for +4 74, second last in the 70 man field, where his Ryder Cup colleague, lefty, Bob MacIntyre had a horrendous 5 bogey, 4 double bogey round +12 82, he must have decided to play right handed !!!

America's favourite son, Scott Scheffler is back in a pack of players at -2 68.
FORMAT
20 players will be going home after this week from the top 70, the new 50 will head to St Louis for the BMW Championship, also another $20,000,000 and a guaranteed place in all 2027 Signature Events.
