PGA Tour : Buick Championship FedExCup  Leaderboard Results

Wyndham Clarke did his bit to make Sunday interesting, with 3 bogey's in his first 10 holes, he allowed Rory back in the game, by the 11th they were tied for the lead and the drama was about to unfold

Wyndham Clark has won the US Open in two of the past four years

The turning point in the last 6 holes came at the 16th, where Clark's putter which had been miraculous all week came up trumps with a birdie 2, that Rory didn't match.

The 17th was the final nail in the coffin for the world's #2 when his lay up on the par 5 ran into a fairway bunker, 100 yards away, his explosion shot found the greenside bunker and Clark was home and dry.

SUMMARY

Clarke 64 64 65 70 -17 thoroughly deserved his win, another $3.6m in the bank, and a bag full of confidence heading into this week's Tour Championship finale in Atlanta where he will be the #3 seed.

Rory 3rd, after 64 6 65 69 -13, is happy enough, after sputtering along for parts of the week, he got the engine in top gear for a while on Sunday, had he made makeable putts on 14,15 and 16 he may well have stolen the title from Clark.

Patrick Cantlay slipped into 2nd 67 65 66 68 -14 to move up 24 spots from 43 to 19 to book his trip to Atlanta.

Scotland's Robert "Bob" MacIntyre is a happy boy, 68 69 68 65 -10 moved him from 36 to 25, declaring himself pleased with "job well done !"  He's made enough money to clear the Oban town councils debts for a year !!

Kurt Kitayama is a glaring example of the downside of being around the 30 bubble, his 72 68 68 68 -4 dropped him from 28 -31 ouch !!!

Same for Rickie Fowler 71 69 69 70 -1 not good enough, 30 to 33 his season is over.

Finally Ryan Fox's good fortune this year after his Open Championship win, continues 71 69 71 71 +2 was just good enough, number 25 to 30 !!
