PGA Tour : AP Invitational Results
The man in the red cardigan come Sunday afternoon at this year's AP Invitational was never in doubt after nine holes.
Scottie Scheffler made no mistakes, took advantage of nearly all his chances on a tricky Bay Hill course, shot the low round of the week when it meant the most -6 66 while the rest of the field averaged 73.6 to win in a canter by 5 clear shots for his 2nd AP Invitational win (2022) worth $4,000,000 700 points and all the rest that goes with it.
He is still the world #1, I don't need to list all the myriad of stats, suffice to say he led most of them.
He has won the Players and the Masters and they are both dead ahead.
He shot -2 going out which was enough to lead by 3 shots, of the top 10 including Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy he was the only one to break par the rest averaged 38. When he birdied 10 and 11 he had bolted out of the barn and was long gone.
