Rain in Spain playing havoc with Andalucia Valderrama Masters

European Tour Andalucia Valderrama Masters leaderboard http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2018/tournamentid=2018084/leaderboard/index.html#/leaderboard

With rain, thunder and lightning wiping out most of play on Thursday the field is playing catch up today in Spain at Sergio's AndalucĂa Valderrama Masters. The problem is there is 6 hours of steady rain forecast for Saturday morning and more for Sunday.

It seems certain the event will be reduced to 54 holes with a possible Monday finish.

Garcia is not only the host but the defending champion and he is currently T2 at -3 after completing his first round.

The leader is an Englishman Ashley Chesters at -5.

So they will play until dark today with many in the field not able to finish their 2nd rounds then wait to see how much if any play they can get in tomorrow.

This is an important event because it's the last chance for players on the bubble, trying to get into the top 116 who then qualify for the Race to Dubai playoffs.
