Marc Leishman caps a week of low scoring to win the CIMB Classic

In a week of low scoring on the revamped TPC Kuala Lumpur west course it was veteran Aussie Marc Leishman (68 62 67 65) who simply made more birdies than all the rest with a final round -7 65 to tie the tournament record at -26 262 for his 4th career win, this one by 5 strokes.

" I knew that even though I got off to a good start, I still needed to grind because there's some tough holes out there. Managed to hit some good shots and this is the result. It's great to get back in the winner's circle, excited to be back in Malaysia and leaving with this."

"We'll sit that (trophy) in the middle of the table tonight and have a few beers and just talk about it and just have a good night with friends really. I'm looking forward to doing that tonight."

Justin Thomas who fired a final round -8 64 T5 had set the record during his win in 2015.

Bronson Burgoon (68), Chesson Hadley (66) and Emiliano Grillo (66) finished T2.
