Corey Connors shoots 64 takes 2nd place at Sanderson Farms

He has delayed his honeymoon but newly married Corey Connors may well be paying for it this week in sunny Jackson Mississippi at this Sanderson Farms Championship where his colleague Nick Taylor won in 2015.

Connors fired a -8 64 -13 to soar up the leaderboard to take 2nd place and he will be in the final pairing with American rookie Cameron Champ who shot a 64 of his own at -17.

Connors had 5 birdies on the front nine for a 31, 4 more on the back with just one bogey for 33. He's 4th in Greens in regulation 44/54, 1st in sand saves 4/4 and 6th in scrambling. He is also T3 with 16 birdies.

Nick Taylor (71) and Ben Silverman (71) are T38 at -5 while Adam Svensson (72) is T58
