Overnight in Incheon, South Korea, Brooke Henderson has opened her Asian swing with a +1 73 to sit in a large group T28, 8 shots off the lead at this KEB Hana Bank Championship.
On a windy, cold damp day, she went out in -1 35, and had all pars, but 2 bogey's coming in for 38. She hit 10/14 fairways but 12 /18 greens in regulation and 31 putts.
Meanwhile 19 year old Nasa Hataoka of Japan fired a -7 65, with only 21 putts and 8 birdies, to take a two-stroke lead after the first round while Danielle Kang (67)and Charley Hull (67) are two shots back at the Sky 72 Ocean Course.
Hataoka was ranked near 200,just a year ago but has climbed to No. 14 in the LPGA rankings.
