As I mentioned on Thursday there were a record 8 Canadians in this first event of the wraparound season, the Safeway Open, which officially kicks off the 2018-19 year on this PGA Tour.
The good news is 6 of them has made the cut out in the sunny warm Napa valley in California where Brandt Snedeker has shot 66 65 to lead by 3 shots at -13. Phil Mickelson, Ryan Moore and Micheal Thompson are at -10.
Mac Hughes opened with a sparkling 66 and recovered on Friday with 3 birdies late on his back nine to shoot 71 so he's at T15 -7. Nick Taylor T24 71 67 -6, Adam Svensson 69 69 -6 T24. Roger Sloan 67 72 -5 T37, Ben Silverman 72 68 -4 T49, David Hearn 72 69 -3 T68.
