CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges final leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html
Gary Woodland smiled as he finished his round and shook hands with a sponsor and said " I'm trying" after posting a sensational -9 63 to get to -17.
His smile was whimsical however because behind him another of the young bombers, Brooks Koepka was chipping in for birdie at the 16th on his way to a -8 64 of his own for a -21 total to win this CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges by 4 shots on this "bombers paradise" resort course on JeJu island in golf crazy South Korea.
With the win the big muscle bound American who hails from Florida but honed his pro career playing around the world on the European tours has moved into the World's #1 spot. Woodland finished 2nd.
Meanwhile Adam Hadwin who'd been "SteadyEddie " all week took advantage of the soft conditions for a brilliant -8 64 to move right up the scoreboard to T10 -10 to round off a very nice week.
He had 5 birdies in a row on his back nine of 30, ending up with 9 and just one bogey at the 7th.
Next week the men move over to Shanghai for the WCG HSBC Championship.
