PGA Tour: Mexico Open Leaderboard
Taylor Pendrith was selected by captain Trevor Immelman for last year's Presidents Cup because of his stellar play leading into the event. He has a great game, drives it really long, fine iron player and like his fellow Ontarian, Corey Connors, when his putter is co-operating he makes it look easy.
In 2021-22 at the Bermuda Championship after an opening 70, he shot 61 65 in a howling gale, the best of that field by far, and only a Sunday blow out 76 stopped him from gaining his first PGA Tour Title.
He has flirted with a win since, and this week in Mexico, he posted 5 birdies on his front 9 holes for 30 and the lead, added 2 more coming in with only a bogey at 15 from the front bunker spoiling a perfect round.
At -6 65 he is in a group of five T4 behind leader American, Austin Smotherman -8 63.
Michael Gligic continues his struggles T123 +3 74.
Defending champion and star of the show, Jon Rahm T14 -4 67...
