Masters : Saturday morning leaderboard / tee times here.
Weather: Saturday will be wet and windy, the question is how bad. In 2003 when Mike Weir won there was no play on Thursday and they still finished by Sunday afternoon.
* the forecast as I post this morning is all day heavy cold rain with a cold NE wind gusting 20kph+. Temperature 12*c The rain is lighter until 11am so play has begun at 8am for the 39 players who have to return to finish their 2nd rounds, all in rain gear and umbrellas.
* The threat of T'Storms is diminished for Saturday, Sunday which is crucial.
* Sunday is cold windy and not so wet.
* the cut is top 50 and ties which should fall at +2.
*There are only 88 players not the regular 156. All the tees/greens have underground aeration and there is a massive grounds crew boosted by local groundskeepers volunteering both their time and equipment.
* if needed they can play off split tees to get round 3 finished or close to it
* therefore I am confident they will get play finished on time.
The Players
* Yesterday I chronicled the fate of the 4 Canadians for your perusal. Svensson, Weir and Connors are out.
* Mac Hughes is the only one that can make the cut, and he starts play this morning on the 14th T38 E
* Tiger begins play on #12 and he is on the number at +2 trying to tie the record for 23 consecutive cuts.
