Jon Rahm admitted fatigue both mentally and physically in his open 72.

It's likely neither would have been here the week after Augusta, however with it's designated event status the top players are obliged to attend, which was why Rory's unexplained (to the public) withdrawal produced headlines.

After another breezy day on the EWA Beach GC on the island of Oahu, Brooke Henderson has improved her position with a mixed bag -2 70 and at -3 total she is T11, just 5 shots off the leaders -8 Natthakritta Vongtaveelap, Yu Jin Sung -8, heading into the weekend.

" I got off to a good start with -2 on the front nine, then the wind got up, and I had a few bogey's there I would like to have back. It was nice to finish with birdies at 17 and 18 for some momentum going into the weekend"

Maude Aimee Leblanc 71 77, Maddie Szeryk 74 73, Alena Sharp 76 71 all missed the cut.

Next week it's the first major in Houston the Chevron Championship at a new venue after years in Rancho Mirage for the ANA Inspiration on the Dinah Shore course.
