PGA Tour : Zurich Classic of New Orleans Leaderboard
Nick Hardy and Davis Riley won this year's $8.6m Zurich Classic of New Orleans two man team event with rounds of 64 66 63 65 -30.
It is the first win of the rookies careers, worth $1,242,700 and 400 Fed Ex Cup points. The best friends are exempt through 2025 and will play in the PGA Championship and designated events at the Players and Memorial next year.
Matching them stroke for stroke all week were Canadians Nick Taylor and Adam Hadwin 66 67 64 and a record breaking 7 straight birdie Sunday 63 to finish 2nd -28. They each won $507,400
From the 7th to the 13th the pair set the PGA Tour foursome record of seven straight birdies to take the lead. They made pars in from the 14th. but the young Americans closed with 3 birdies in those holes with some ridiculous putting to pull away at the end.
The Canadian's -9 63 tied the course record.
Michael Gligic and Taylor Pendrith finished T13 64 70 65 69 -20 worth $57,777 each.
They are the only Canadians in this weeks Mexico Open.
