 Masters Tuesday

* Corey Connors, Mac Hughes Adam Svensson and Mike Weir celebrating his 20th anniversary of his 2003 win are playing a practice round together..Connors has been in the top10 the last 3 years.

* Masters dinner hosted by Scottie Scheffler is tonight for all past champions which include current LIV defectors like Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Sergio Garcia.

Menu : Cheeseburger Sliders or Firecracker Shrimp or Tortilla Soup

Texas Ribeye Steak or Blackened Redfish with family Mac &Cheese, jalapeno cream corn, fried Brussel sprouts and seasoned fries.

Warm Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie with ice cream

* Most past champions reportedly just order their same preference off the traditional Masters menu, which is not unusual when your consider some of the strange offerings:

1986: Bernhard Langer 'Weiner schnitzel"  1989: Sandy Lyle " Haggis" 1998" Tiger Woods " Cheeseburger / Fries  2001: Vijay Singh "Chicken Panang Curry" 2004" Mike Weir "Elk and Wild Boar" 2009: Trevor Immelman " South African bobotie" 2014: Adam Scott " Moreton Bay Bugs"

* Freddie Couples invited Tom Kim to join him, Tiger and Rory for a practice round yesterday. Kim a 20 year old Korean was one of the President Cup stars for the International Team at the Presidents Cup, where Freddie was in the coaching staff for the American team.

* With Scottie Scheffler defending and listed as the pre tournament favourite with the bookies there have been 10 Texans who have won the Masters 15 times.

Byron Nelson 1937/42 Ralph Guldahl 1939,  Jimmy Demaret 1940/47/50 , Ben Hogan 1951/53,  Jack Burke Jr 1956,  Charles Coody 1971, Ben Crenshaw 1984/93,  2015 Jordan Spieth , 2018 Patrick Reed ,2022 Scottie Scheffler

* Changes to the 13th hole par 5, 545. Bobby Jones quote: "the decision to go for the green at #13 should be a momentous one" Chairman Fred Ridley said " our observations of todays players playing middle and short irons into this hole is not a momentous one "

So the tee box has been elevated by 8 feet and moved back 35 yards into a secluded area which they believe will "reduce the potential for a player to take a drive over the left corner of the dogleg"

* Weather : partly sunny 28*c, little wind, no rain. However the weather for the tournament week proper looks very unsettled with this huge Colorado low over much of the eastern half of the continent.
