Double at 18 spoils a great Svensson round.....full RBC Heritage scoreboard

PGA Tour : RBC Heritage Friday scoreboard here.

With the cut falling at -2 Taylor Pendrith 73 68 -1. Mac Hughes 70 73 +1 and Adam Hadwin 74 71 have missed out on the weekend at this version of the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head SC on the Harbour Town course.

Adam Svensson (11.15) had a terrific ball striking round with 8 birdies and 2 bogey's heading up the 18th when he overshot the green with his approach into the "native area" a marshy mix bordering the water and ended up with a double turning a -6 65 into a still very respectable -4 67 to begin the weekend T34 -4.

Corey Connors (11.05) 70 68 made 4 birdies on the back nine on his way to join Svensson T34 -4

Nick Taylor (7.55) made the cut on the number 70 70 -2 T60.

The improbable leader is 44 year old Texan, Jimmy Walker (2.00) who has MC in 8 of the 12 events in this 2022//23 season and hasn't won, or even contended much since 2016.

However he did T22 Valero Texas Open this year and with sparkling rounds 65 65 has a 3 shot lead over the field at -12. in this $20,0000,000 designated event.

Apart from Walker the rest of the field is tightly bunched.

That man Scottie Scheffler 68 65 (2.00) is T2nd with Justin Rose 66 67 (1.50) and Xander Schauffele 67 66 (1.50) all at -9.

Jon Rahm (12.25) must have had a good nights sleep after declaring  he was fatigued on Thursday after his +1 72, bouncing back with -7 64 T18 -6.

Weather: Perfect holiday or scoring weather, hot sunny very light breeze for the weekend.
