Remember this is a 29 woman field, playing with celebrities and friends at Lake Nona, a big social week for all to start the LPGA season, not a full field.
None the less the pros are playing for a legit title and as round one turned out Taylor Made's most recent recruits Brooke Henderson and Nelly Korda with their brand new red and white golf bags, are 1st and 2nd.
Brooke made 3 birdies on her front nine, finishing -5 67 at shot ahead of Nelly's -4 68.
In her post round interview Brooke revealed she has spent almost all her time since the season ending CME re-habbing her back. Even after all her treatment she could only chip and putt for a while before slowly taking full swings.
The LPGA early schedule is a bit strange.
After this week, they don't play for a month, in Thailand Feb 23-26, Singapore Mar 2-5, China Mar 9-12 then don't arrive back in the USA in Arizona Mar 23-26.
