With Cam Smith setting a tournament and PGA Tour record -34 in ideal weather on the Plantation Course it's clear if the wind doesn't blow, the winner will have 4 rounds in the low 60's, or any combination thereof.
Having said that, Collin Morikawa 64 66 -16 has the 36 hole lead after a Friday that was a little more breezy that Thursday and not much more is expected.
Mac Hughes after his opening -7 66 went out bogey free with one birdie for -1 35. However he got in a little trouble coming in with 2 bogey's and a double at 17 where he drove into the bush offset by 2 birdies for +2 39 and a +1 74 which has dropped him down to T27 -6.
Meanwhile Corey Connors moved up with his 2nd successive 68 for -10 T8. He was out with 2 birdies and his lone bogey for -1 35. However he caught fire with 4 birdies in his last 5 holes to get back in contention with moving day ahead.
Adam Svensson is well back 71 70 -5 T33 out of the 38 man field, with Xander Schauffele withdrawing.
Saturday tee times : With a relatively calm,very sunny Saturday ahead Adam Svensson is off at 7.55am with Sepp Straka then Mac Hughes at 8.05am with Patrick Cantlay.
Corey Connors with Tony Finau are off at 10.05am.
Tee times have been moved up for TV to avoid clashing with the NFL games this afternoon.
