The big story is Jon Rahm looking for his 3rd straight PGA Tour win and his 3rd at Torrey Pines.
First, the two Canadians will not be part of that story but here is theirs.
Remember the Farmers finishes on a Saturday to clear the TV decks for the NFC and AFC Championship games on Sunday.
Adam Hadwin made the cut on the number and added a Friday -2 70 good for a T32 heading into today's final round 10 shots off the lead.
Taylor Pendrith who like Adam, made that clutch birdie on his final hole to join him on the number at E posted a Friday E 72 and is T49th for his last round today.
Now the big story. Jon Rahm has won the last 2 PGA Tour events he's played in and at 73 67 66 -10 he shoots for his 3rd and remember his pedigree includes his first Tour win here in 2017 and the US Open in 2021, formidable to say the least.
He's in the final pairing with 11 year veteran Sam Ryder 64 68 72 -12 who has accrued 15 top 10's in a very solid pro career that is just missing a win. He's 2 shots clear.
Then watch out for Tony Finau, playing the best golf of his life who is the 3rd member of the final pairing 73 71 64 -8.
If I were betting a horse race I'd be tempted to put a flutter on brilliant South Korean Sungjae Im 68 74 67 -7 who has been all over the leaderboards this year.
