Kuchar's ex caddie has a new bag as rain delayed Mayakoba Golf Classic gets underway

PGA Tour Mayakoba Golf Classic leaderboard https://www.pgatour.com/competition/2020/mayakoba-golf-classic/leaderboard.html

After torrential rain wiped out play on Thursday at this Mayakoba Golf Classic, the field got up and at it early this morning, see my custommized link above for live scoring, including the 7 Canadians.

Matt Kuchar is the defending champion, I wrote about him here yesterday. By coincidence the local caddie he cheap skated, David Ortiz is back in the field this week, as a replacement again!

Jason Dufner who has just signed a lucrative new deal with Cobra, withdrew, and the first alternative Rob Oppenheim took the chance and flew from Orlando to Mexico but his regular caddie Dean Emerson couldn't get a flight from Boston.

As a result he met with Ortiz and figured he was "the best option" considering he won with Kuchar last year, and they met during the rain delay. Oppenheim assured the media tent "we have a payment agreement in place"

 * Aussie Danny Lee has the clubhouse lead after a -9 62.
